Dressage in Florida Still Going Strong
Moving the dates so as not to conflict with the huge amount of Americans headed to Las Vegas next week for the FEI World Cup Final, the Gold Coast Dressage Association if holding their Final show(s) this coming weekend at the now quiet and peaceful Wellington show grounds. With more and more riders, trainers, and owners making Wellington their year-round home entries were surprisingly strong. The typically 2 ring show quickly grew into 4 arenas with classes at all levels, including several Freestyles. Judges Natalie Lamping, Tom Poulin, Betsy Berrey, and Dinah Babcock will be officiating.
Gold Coast President Noreen O’Sullivan called to give phelpsphotos.com a ‘heads up’ on the upcoming event on our schedule. The shows are actually 2 separate shows on Saturday and Sunday, giving Florida Dressage riders 2 chances to get their qualifying scores before the hot summer days begin.
All of the organizers, competitors, and vendors owe a great big ‘thank you’ to Gold Coast members who are the backbone of the Dressage in South Florida winter season. Through their strong network of knowledgeable volunteers and show staff, they take the load off when it comes to assisting all the Wellington and Derby Series shows.
