Kreuth, April 23 - On the last day of the NRHA (National Reining Horse Association) European Futurity, the day opened with the last of the full-slate ancillary classes offered.

Prior to the European Open Futurity finals, three champions were crowned. Gilles Huyghe from Belgium riding Docs Lil Gun (Lil Gun x Miss Bright Doc) owned by Annick and Tom Huyghe took home the Youth 14-18 division.

“I’m very happy for my win today. My horse is really good and everything went well except for the last stop where I made a mistake. My plans now are to qualify for the NRHA European Affiliate Championships in Poland,” says the 17-year-old rider about his 9-year-old gelding who boasts over $13,000 in NRHA LTE.

Earning the second spot after posting a 205 was Matteo Bonzano from Italy aboard 2015 NRHA Non Pro World Champion, High Point Reiner $54,172 (Sailin Ruf x Scarlet High Listo) owned by 23 Quarter Horses Azienda Agricola SS.

In third place, with a 203.5, was Laura Braun from Germany with Gatling Little Sisi (Gatling Gun x Little Peppy Si Si).
