Last week in Warendorf (Germany) a test event took place in which several new possibilities for judging the Freestyle to music were tested. German 5* judge Katrina Wüst did a great effort by asking the help of an it-technician to develop a system which simply adds all difficulties. This means that the mark for the degree of difficulty is already given before the start considered all lectures are done. During the Global Dressage Forum, which will take place on October 28-29th 2013 in Hooge Mierde, the Netherlands, this advanced new methodology for the freestyle to music will be presented. Olympic judges Stephen Clarke (Great Britain) and Katrina Wüst (Germany) will explain and demonstrate the computerised system and answerquestions.

Olympian Tineke Bartels has been present at the test event in Warendorf and says: "It is a highly sophisticated system, very transparent for judges and riders. It makes the judging more understandable for spectators, media and tv commentators. A more objective explanation will now be possible. In my opinion, this system can be a perfect basis to develop and improve the judging system in dressage in the future".

During the Global Dressage Forum the new system will be presented on Monday October 28st to an audience of international trainers, riders, judges, journalists and other dressage enthusiasts.

A few last minute tickets for the Global Dressage Forum are still available. Much more will be presented of course.
