Monday, January 10, 2011 - 10am – 12 noon:  Gloria Austin, Moderator:  World Equestrian Games (WEG) “Hear the Tales of the Tails.”

  Competitors of the 2010 World Equestrian Games’ carriage driving contest will tell of their experiences and what it took to get to and compete at this international competition held in Lexington, Kentucky on September of 2010.  See and meet the Canadian Team horses driven by Daryl Billings.

Monday, January 24, 2011 - 10am – 12 noon: Glenn Bratz: “Vanishing American Barn and Others” Learn about stone barns, hexagon barns, log barns, and even windmills and silos.  IMPORTANT!  Bring your barn photos to the lecture and we will scan them for our electronic files on Stables and Barns.

Monday, January 31, 2011 - 10am – 12 noon: “The Mule: The Long-eared Equine” The mules are back this year by popular demand.  Meet and talk to Spike! Do you know the differences between the horse, the mule, and the donkey?  Learn and meet the animals that have made a difference in history and are still being used today in Afghanistan.
