The 3-year old Oldenburg bred mare First Love (by Furst Heinrich out of SPS Annika (by Welton x Westminster) won the 2009 Swedish Warmblood Mare Performance Test. It was the first time in history that a foreign born mare won the National Mare Show in Sweden since its inception in 1902.  First Love is bred by Uwe Marken from Westerstede, Germany, and owned by the American duo Colette Ross-Prince and Harald Prince, who live in Stillingson, Sweden, where they operate a small high quality breeding farm called European Dressage Design.

About 500 mares participated in the mare performance test and 39 made the cut to the National Mare Show, held last weekend in Stromsholm, Sweden. The show included a presentation under saddle in the morning, following by an in-hand presentation in the afternoon. Four mares were selected for another outdoor presentation under saddle in front of the Stromsholm castle.

First Love was presented under saddle by the Brazilian Adriana Zonari. The judges commented that the chestnut mare has "three very elastic and balanced gaits and an amazing rideability." The mare scored 88% in total.
