Fiesta Florida presented by The Foundation of the Pure Spanish Horse

A Taste of Spain in Florida This Weekend

For three exciting days the ambiance of Spain and the time honored breed, The Pure Spanish Horse. (Pura Raza Espanola), will fill the Jacksonville Equestrian Center with electrifying exhibitions, a matchless P.R.E. Competition, and the priceless wisdom of riders and clinicians famous throughout the world. Some of the most renowned Pure Spanish horses, trainers and riders in the country will be there to compete, to qualify for points in the Book of Merits of Spain as well as their own Book of Merits, here in the United States.

Featured judge, Coronel Isaac Rodriguez Martin recently retired from the Ministerio de Defensa, Jefatura de Cria Caballar is an active veterinarian, and one of the most widely respected judges because of his depth of knowledge, experience in the show ring, and ability to translate his experience directly to the competitors. He will be speaking to exhibitors about the new Spanish show rules, as well as answer any questions about inscription or valoracion. He has judged in Spain, throughout Europe. His perspective on how horses in the USA compare to other countries should prove invaluable.

Thursday: 4:00 PM, there will be a long line clinic by Juan Ramone Mas. Mas has prepared horses, shown and won many comptitions including the prestigious Valladolid, Jefatura de Cria Caballar competition and SCIAB both held in Spain.

Friday: Following opening ceremonies and the beginning of the Morfological competition which will run throughout the day, will be a Dressage Seminar featuring Pati Pierucci of Hampton Green Farms, and a Freestyle to Music with Janne Rumbough and Gorron GF.
