FEI World Cup Finals to be Held in Paris in 2018

The Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) has just officially awarded the organisation of the 2018 Longines FEI World Cup Jumping Final and the FEI World Cup Dressage Final to the GL events Group. The 2018 Jumping World Cup Final and the 2018 Dressage World Cup Final will be held in the heart of the French capital.

For Sylvie Robert, the Director of Equestrian Events for the GL events Group, the awarding of the organisation of this Longines FEI World Cup Jumping and FEI World Cup Dressage double final in 2018 by the FEI is indicative of the recognition of the group’s expertise in terms of the organisation of major equestrian events: "This bid has drawn on the experience gained by the GL events Group’s equestrian department during Equita Lyon exhibition, the FEI World Cup Jumping and Dressage legs held in Lyon and the FEI Jumping and Dressage World Cup Finals organised in 2014 at Lyon- Eurexpo."

The last Jumping World Cup Final held in Paris dates back to 1987 and to 1991 for dressage. "I have great memories of these events and I will be proud to allow a new generation of sportsmen and women and fans to experience them. With Euro 2016 and the bid for the 2024 Olympics, an incredible sporting spirit currently exists in Paris which we are proud to support by associating the highest level of equestrian sport with it. Paris is closely linked with the FEI Jumping and Dressage World Cups and we are delighted to contribute to this return, as we were able to do in 2010 when horses returned to jump under the glass roof of the Grand Palais at the request of the Maison Hermès."

The double Longines FEI World Cup Jumping and FEI World Cup Dressage Final will be held in April 2018.
