Dutch management agency BMC has added the combination Marlies van Baalen/Relevant to their sponsorship plan. BMC has been sponsoring show jumper Jeroen Dubbeldam and several of Van Baalen's horses for a short while, but the BMC Group wanted to support more talented combinations. Gestut Vorwerk's Oldenburg licensed stallion Relevant (by Rubinstein) is the newest member of their plan. Relevant was previously competed by American Lisa Wilcox who took the chestnut stallion to the 2004 Olympic Games. Marlies van Baalen has taken over the ride from Wilcox when she moved to Switzerland in 2005.
The 2005 Hanoverian Reserve Licensing Champion Primetime has been returned to the Hanoverian Verband. The black Prince Thatch xx x Wenzel offspring, purchased by Paul Schockemohle and Blue Hors Stud at the 2005 Hanoverian licensing for 580,000 euro, turned out to be infertile. The owners complained to the Hanoverian Verband which annulled the sale of the stallion. Rumour has it that Primetime will be auctioned as a sport horse in the April Elite Auction in Verden, Germany.
The 13-year old Hanoverian licensed stallion Del Piero has been sold to Denmark as a sport horse. A Danish junior rider will be competing him at FEI Junior Riders level. Under his owner Susan Draper/Pape, Del Piero became the 1998 Bundeschampion in the 5-year old division and the Reserve Champion in the 6-year old division at the 1999 World Young Dressage Horse Championships in Arnheim.
