Premier Equestrian President, Heidi Zorn, received word recently that she has been inducted to Heritage Registry of Who’s Who. Zorn along with her partner, Mark Neihart, runs Premier Equestrian, a Utah based company that offers over 500 products, all related to equestrian arena sporting equipment, including a full line of dressage arenas, an extensive line of show jumps, and high performance arena footing.

The Heritage Registry of Who’s Who selected Zorn for her accomplishments and achievements with Premier Equestrian in the Manufacture and Distribution of Horse Products for the Equestrian Industry division.

The Heritage Registry of Who’s Who is a New York based biographical publication that distinguishes individuals throughout North American who have attained a recognizable degree of success in the their field of endeavor and thereby contribute to the growth of their industry.

Zorn, a life long equestrian, showed hunters and jumper for 25 years, before taking up dressage in 1998. Zorn showed in the Junior, Preliminary and Open Jumper divisions, as well as the Puissance classes. She won the AHSA (now USEF) Hunt Seat Medal 3 times. Zorn continues to train and compete with her Andalusian cross dressage gelding, Serrano.

Zorn began working in the advertising and printing business in 1980 while she was still in college. In 1995, she opened a boutique advertising agency. But it was an idea to construct a pvc dressage arena in 2000, that would be the springboard for Premier Equestrian.

Zorn and a neighbor, who was a pvc fabricator, developed an attractive, durable dressage arena that was very affordable. In 2000, the average dressage arena sold for $5000. Zorn’s $1500 dressage arena turned the market place upside down. She sold 12 arenas at the USDF Convention, and Premier Equestrian was born!

In 2001, Zorn joined forces with partner Mark Neihart and the pair moved the business forward at warp speed. They sold the ad agency in 2002 to pursue Premier Equestrian full time. They continued to add products, including jumps, ProStride rubber arena footing and accessories. Since their start in 2001, Zorn and Neihart have been committed to making a safe, attractive, durable products offered at a very fair price to the horse industry. And their success formula works, Premier Equestrian’s growth rate continues at a rate of 60% each year!

It is little wonder that the Heritage Registry of Who’s Who, selected Zorn for recognition; she found a niche in her market place, developed a superior product line and built an impressive company in only six years. “I am pleased to be recognized.” said a humble Zorn, “but equal credit must go to my partner, Mark (Niehart) who is a huge reason for the success of the company”. Like most successful entrepreneurs, Zorn knows that it is the team effort that makes the individual’s in her company successful.
