Enjoying the Last Day in Florida!

For those in the horse show world who live north and south, I have been saying this for years; “Why leave Florida so early?” The awesome weather does not really kick in until April, especially for central Florida where we call our winter home. If it weren’t for the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event coming up next week, we would be sticking around a bit longer ourselves before heading to our Kentucky farm. But the caravan will set off on Friday morning. We brought in our “shipping crew”, my sister Nancy Phelps, and good buddy Mike Voss from Kentucky to help drive the Horsesdaily RV and truck, the pony trailer and truck with ponies and carriage, and the PT Cruiser convertible. I am trying not to think of that fuel bill right now!

We also made sure we treated our drivers to a whirl wind dose of Florida, where we started out on the beach in Daytona, and then headed up AIA to St. Augustine. Today we pack and load, for an early morning lift off for the 720 mile drive. With my computer sent off for a tune up before the trip, I was forced to take some time off from my web obsession. Thanks Liz and Penny, our horsemarket manager and Horsesdaily managers for keeping the websites updated daily, so we can have a little fun!
