Anky van Grunsven and her famous two time Olympic gold medallist and London bronze medallist Salinero for the last time for a big audience at her 'homeshow' Indoor Brabant in 's-Hertogenbosch. Even Isabell Werth will participate in the national ceremony evening, as well as 24 'look a like' little pony Salinero's. "Isabell and I have always been fighting with all our hearts against each other in the show arena, but on the floor in fact we respect each other completely and I am happy that she shares this farewell moment with Salinero with me", Anky says. van Grunsven also retired her Olympic gold medallist Bonfire at the Dutch Indoor Brabant show as farewell podium. "But this time it will be more emotional", Anky predicts. "At least for me. Last year has been quite emotional to me because of the illness of my husband Sjef and our family." Anky is already training with her new prospect Upido and promises that Rio 2016 is in her mind. So the farewell of Salinero won't be a farewell of the international podium of van Grunsven. van Grunsven's husband Sjef Janssen had successful surgery to remove a benign brain tumor in 2011. The long time coach of the Dutch Team was recently hired as the technical manager of Belgian dressage, with his eye on Rio as well. But it will be all about Anky and Salinero at "Brabant" this weekend.
