DressageDaily Announces the Fourth Annual 2007 Junior/Young Rider Clinic Featuring Edward Gal


An all star cast of top Dressage professionals will once again converge at Carol Cohen’s Two Swans Farm during the height of the Dressage in Florida Winter Circuit, offering an unprecedented opportunity for the lucky Junior and Young Rider Applicants to participate for three days of training, lectures, round table discussions, and of course parties and events.

Edward Gal of the Netherlands will be the international guest trainer. Gal riding Geldnet Lingh, who made their international coup, at the 2005 World Cup Finals, Las Vegas, winning the Grand Prix, and finishing second in the Grand Prix Freestyle to team mate and trainer Anky Van Grunsven.

Auditors are encouraged, and while the applicants for the clinic are filling up there is still time to submit your application.

Demonstrations, lectures, and round tale discussions will include:

  • Kathy Connelly teaching long lining to teach collection
  • Scott Hassler will cover what to look for in a Young Horse
  • Terri Gallo will discuss how to develop a Freestyle, and how they are judged
  • Arlene (Tuny) Page will share with Young Riders her experience and what it was like going to the World Cup

March 10

  • Eight rides per Trainer: Steffen Peters, Edward Gal, Volker Bromman, and George Williams
  • Round Table discussions with clinicians and surprize celebrity guests
  • Clincians will participate in the Challenge of the Americas Breast Cancer Fundraiser as Celebrity Judges

March 11

  • Eight rides per Trainer: Steffen Peters, Edward Gal, Volker Bromman, and George Williams
  • Round Table discussions with clinicians and surprize celebrity guests
  • Grand Finale 2007 Junior/Young Rider Clinic Party

The Wellington 2007 Junior/Young Rider Clinic was the brain child of Dr. Cetty Weiss, of Weiss Family Chiropractic, who developed the program three years ago. The concept has blossomed, was featured in Dressage Today, and become one of the highlights of the winter events in South Florida.
