Wellington, FL – Dressage rider and trainer Carmen Franco piloted Vinho Dos Pinhais, a 10-year-old Lusitano, to success in the Fourth Level classes at the Gold Coast Dressage Opener CDI, and the duo also rode away with the “Windsor Award.” Sponsored by Windsor Equestrian, a supplier of high quality dressage tack and equipment, the new equestrian company is debuting their products on the South Florida dressage circuit and will be giving out the “Windsor Award” at the Wellington Classic Dressage Association shows, the Gold Coast Dressage Association shows, the International Horse Sport Dressage shows, the Palm Beach Dressage Derby and the World Dressage Masters.

“I want to congratulate Carmen on winning the ‘Windsor Award’ and welcome her to the Windsor family,” said Mette Larsen, President of Windsor Equestrian. “Our company was born out of a desire to provide high quality products that are really comfortable for the horse. For example, all of our halters have leather on the back of each buckle so that no metal touches the horses face. A comfortable horse is a happy horse, and that’s what we want.”

Franco thanked Windsor Equestrian and Larsen for sponsoring the award and said that her horses always appreciate high quality products. “My horses are very picky about tack and equipment and if they don’t like it, they let me know,” Franco said.

Windsor Equestrian recently sponsored Robert Dover’s Horsemastership Clinic in Wellington, part of the Emerging Dressage Athlete Program, and gave each participant a beautiful Windsor Pro Comfort Halter. “It was great to see the smiles on the faces of those young riders when we presented them with their halters. I know we will see the same smiles from each winner of the ‘Windsor Award’,’’ Larsen said, adding that the winners will be presented with a European style award plaque.

The vision of Windsor Equestrian is to develop dressage tack that is superior in design, quality, function, comfort and beauty. “Windsor products are made from the finest quality leathers and we are always striving to make our products better, more comfortable and more durable. We offer a beautiful line of bridles, that all come with a two-year limited warranty, as well as halters, nosebands, girths, strap goods, horse boots and saddle pads,” Larsen said. “We are currently working on two new saddles as well.”

Windsor Equestrian products are available on their website and at: The Dressage Connection in Wellington; Hobby Horse Saddlery in Huntington, New York; and Neptune Feed & Farm Products in Calverton, New York. “We encourage everyone in Wellington to stop by The Dressage Connection’s mobile store on the show grounds and check out our products. Once you see our products, you’ll be sold,” Larsen said.
