Wellington, FL (November 26, 2010) - Dressage rider Caroline Roffman will share her experience of flying to Taipei to accept the 2010 FEI Rising Star Award on a segment of The Dressage Radio Show, part of the Horse Radio Network. Roffman was named the 2010 Rising Star by the International Equestrian Federation and received her award at the 2010 FEI Awards ceremony in Taipei. “I enjoyed being interviewed for The Dressage Radio Show, especially talking about my experience in Taipei,” Roffman said. “Going to Taipei was an amazing adventure. I felt like I was on the red carpet at an awards show. I was wearing borrowed jewelry like the stars always do and my award was presented to me by Her Royal Highness Princess Haya, who is the FEI President.”
Roffman did the Dressage Radio interview from her home and said at one point her puppy caused a commotion and Roffman lost her concentration. “My puppy took off and I tried to play it cool, but they had just asked me a question and I definitely had a delay in answering,” Roffman said, laughing.

Appearing on the radio show is just another step in Roffman’s rising fame in the equestrian world. During the Taipei awards ceremony, the FEI called Roffman one of the brightest hopes of the United States Dressage community. While Roffman was honored to win the Rising Star Award and appear on The Dressage Radio Show, her heart lies with her horses and in the dressage ring.

“It was really fun being on The Dressage Radio Show and I hope everyone likes it,” Roffman said, adding that she also talked about her career during the segment. “I am really looking forward to the future and to competing on the winter dressage circuit.”

Roffman, who rides with Danish Olympian Lars Petersen and is based out of Wellington, Florida, said she is staying busy preparing her horses for the show ring. Roffman, who rides her own horses as well as horses for clients, has a busy schedule for the fall and plans on showing several horses. “I have so many great horses to show and I am really looking forward to it,” she said. “I have set many goals for myself and my horses and I plan on working hard and accomplishing them.”
