While people everywhere are focused on the up coming holidays there are still quite a few happenings going on in the dressage world! This past weekend the REEM ACRA World Cup qualifier in London took place with Great Britain dominating the competition. The next leg will take place this weekend in Frankfurt! Did you ever think that a horse's opinion would be taken into account when choosing music for "his" Freestyle? Check out which Superstar gets to do just that! Our U.S. Para Team rocked it out in Australia bringing home Gold on borrowed horses none the less! In breeding news - a record breaking knock down price of 1.1 million euros was acheived for a stunning Hanoverian stallion at the word famous P.S.I. auction and the KWPN stallion show qualifiers are taking place and the "next Totilas" is leading the way!

This weekend with last minute shopping and family gatherings on everyone's minds, the show season is understandibly quiet. In International Show News - the 5th round of the REEM ACRA FEI World Cup will take place this weekend in Frankfurt Germany. Closer to home we have two shows in the sunny states of Florida and California! The White Fences Polar Express will take place in Loxahatchee, FL and Somis, CA will host the Holiday Dressage Show.

The 4th round of the REEM ACRA FEI World Cup Dressage Qualifier took place at the London International Horse Show - Olympia. It was, without a doubt, British dominated with the top 4 slots being filled with some of Great Britain's top riders. Charlotte Dujardin and Valegro achieved scores above 80% in both the Grand Prix and the Fresstyle but it was Laura Bectolshemier and Mistral's Hojris who emerged at the top of the pack after the Kur! The next leg of the World Cup qualifiers will take place this coming weekend in Franfurt, Germany. Read more here and check out the scores!

Speaking of Laura Bechtolsheimer and Mistral's Hojris ("Alf") - it seems that Alf is very particular about the music he chooses for his Freestyle. Yes, that is right, seems he does not like Reggae or Elvis for that matter! Hopefully Laura and Alf can find some commmon ground with music they can both dance to at the upcoming London Olympic Games. Read more about Laura and Alf here!

The U.S. Para Equestrian Team triumped at the CPEDI3* that was held at the Werribee Park National Equestrain Centre outside of Melbourne, Australia. The team showed remarkable skill piloting horses that they only had days to find to such a top international placing! Hope Hand, USPEA president gets high praise from her team for her "Pit Bull" attitude in helping find the high cailber horses. Read more about these extraordinary riders!

An unbelievable knock down price of 1.1 million Euros was paid at the 32nd Performance Sales International Auction held in Ankum! The 5-year-old, black Hanoverian stallion Der Designer (sired by De Niro) was purchased by a buyer from Russia. The top selling jumping horse was sold for "only" 700,000 Euros which is certainly nothign to sneeze at! The average price for a dressage horse was 271,304 Euros proving that "excellent quality has a price". Check out this showstopper!

Jack Sparrow (Johnson x Wolkentanz II x Don Primero), Edward Gal's newest international hopeful, won the L-level category at the second leg of the 2011-2012 KWPN Stallion Competition held at Stable de Goubergh in Roosendaal. Along with Jack Sparrow, Bon Bravour and Apache also had repeat wins in their respective divisions. These three stallions also were the winners at the first leg of the KWPN Stallion qualifier held in Hengelo.
