It seems there was much opposition to using the 183 acres park as an Olympic venue but after promising to restore the park to its pre-Olympic state, organizers got their way. The park promises to be a spectacular venue as it is set along the river and provides views of some of London;s landmarks. Check out more about Greenwich park in the guide provided by EuroSport.com.
While Matthias Rath looks to be a strong contender for a spot on the German Olympic Team, he and his famous stallion partner Totilas will not be on the Team at the 2012 CDIO Aachen Nations Cup. Rath has come down with Ebstein Barr Virus and has been ordered to not compete in any sport for 12 to 14 days so as to avoid complications that may arise from the virus. Rath's father, Klaus Martin Rath, is currently training the stallion in Raths absence. Team coach Johnny Hilberath and Team vet Dr. Cordula Gather will visit the stallion next week to determine the fitness of Totilas. Check out more here!

Sporting bright red foam fingers with "Dressage #1" Colbert celebrated victory when Rafalca was named to the team. In a comeback at Gladstone's Festival of Champions - fans at the National Championships were given out foam fingers and Budweiser beer to show off the sports connection to "Joe Sixpack"! Well we have all heard of horses flying on cargo planes but when a Southwest airliner pulled into Baltimore it was not the cargo hold that held Cali the mini horse. Cali flew in style with Mona Ramouni in the passenger compartment! Cali is Mona's service/guide animal. It took 9 months to train Cali to serve in her role as service animal but it was with great success. She can do anything a guide dog can do with a few benefits that make her stand out form a dog. The lifespan (therefore the lenght of time to serve) is about 25 -30 years compared to a dog at 10!
