A Double Header Grand Prix Dressage Freestyle and Grand Prix Jumping Easter Sunday Brunch

Saturday night cancelled due to rain stormsWhat was a sellout Saturday night CDI Grand Prix Musical Freestyle before torrential rains, has become an Easter Sunday all day brunch of the best of dressage and jumping at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.

The Zada Enterprises CDI Grand Prix Freestyle that had been scheduled under the lights will now be held starting at 9:54 a.m. on Sunday in the International Arena. The Special Events pavilion that has a panoramic view of the Olympic-sized stadium and footing that is among the best in the world is being converted to host the all-day brunch in place of Saturday Night party presented by www.lingh.nl.

The torrential rains began near the end of the competition day Saturday at the CN Winter Equestrian Festival presented by Zimmerman Advertising. Within just a few hours, a deluge of 3.25 inches hit Wellington prompting flash flood warnings.

Although the International Arena remained virtually perfect despite the downpour, some communities around near the show grounds were flooded. Even so, at the height of the storm spectators and partygoers came dressed to celebrate in the International Club beside the competition arena. Hundreds of tickets had been sold the celebration and many hundreds more were expected for the competition itself.

Equestrian Sport Productions, LLC (ESP), the PBIEC management company, weighed the options. Dozens of phone calls from dressages fans who were driving to Wellington from across Florida for the planned musical freestyle spectacular led to the decision to create the Easter Sunday brunch.

Rather than disappoint the dressage supporters who had booked dozens of tabales and individual seats, ESP switched the celebration to the Special Events pavilion. To make up for the vagaries of Mother Nature, ESP opted to give dressage fans a double header of world class equestrian competition--dressage and jumping--with the all-day brunch .

Ticket holders for tables and individual seats for the event presented by www.lingh.nl event will be honored for the Special Services pavilion. For those who want to join the celebration, reservations can be made at www.equestriansport.com TICKETS.

The Zada Enterprises Grand Prix Dressage Musical Freestyle CDI 3* is scheduled to begin at 9:54 a.m. Classes that were to start at 8 a.m. in the International Arena will still be held as scheduled.

The $75,000 Suncast® Corporation Grand Prix CSI 2* is scheduled to start at 2 p.m.
