Lake Placid, New York - Darragh Kenny of Ireland won two featured classes Thursday at the 41st Annual Lake Placid Horse Show. He rode Celano to victory over a 25-horse field in the Fulchino Family 1.45m Power and Speed Class and also rode Bazooka De Muze to victory in the Lake Placid Lodge 1.30m Speed Stake.
After the first two entries scored faults over the 9-jump, power portion of the course in the Fulchino Family class, Bert Mutch of Wellington, FL, mastered it and took the lead with a clean ride in 33.777 seconds over the 7-jump speed section on PF Twister II.
Mutch's lead held for seven rides until Kenny took the course on Celano and finished both sections clean with a speed section time of 32.675 seconds. Kenny's time held for the remainder of the class with the only challenge coming from Christine McCrea of E.
