The Daily Must-See: Day Nine, October 3

Every day of the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games will be jam-packed with activities, entertainment, attractions and competitions. With the Kentucky Experience, Equine Village, Alltech Experience, Trade Show and competition venues scattered around the Kentucky Horse Park you’ll want to be sure to see a little bit of everything.

Take a look at what is happening each day of the Games:

Day Nine, October 3:

8 a.m. Gates open. The Kentucky Horse Park gift shop, museum and visitor information center open. The Alltech Experience, Equine Village, Kentucky Experience and Trade Show exhibits also open.

9 a.m. There will be a horse inspection for the Eventing World Championship presented by Reem Acra at the High Hope Inspection Lane.

10 a.m. The first demonstration will start at the Equine Village. Many breed organizations and horse trainers will be giving demonstrations at the Village Arena throughout the day, including the American Morgan Horse Association at noon, the U.S. Hunter Jumper Association at 2 p.m., Mario Contreras at 5 p.m. and more. At the Clinician’s Coral, world-renowned clinicians will also be presenting all day. Don’t miss:
    Clinton Anderson at 11 a.m.
    Lynn Palm at 1 p.m.
    Erik Martonovich at 5 p.m.
    Dan Grunewald at 6 p.m.

11 a.m. The horse inspection for the Jumping World Championship presented by Rolex will take place at High Hope Inspection Lane.

11:30 a.m.
The course walk for the Eventing Jumping course will take place at the Outdoor Stadium.

At noon the Chinese Music, Dance & Arts Program will perform at the Alltech Experience Pavilion. Also performing is Heath Eric at 6:30 p.m.

Also at noon The Downtown County Band will perform at the Kentucky Experience Pavilion followed by The Kentuckians Chorus at 1:30 p.m., Colin Grant-Adams at 3 p.m. and The Stephen Foster Singers at 5 p.m.

1 p.m.
The Eventing Jumping competition will begin at the Outdoor Stadium. This is the last phase of Eventing and an awards ceremony will follow the competition.

4:30 p.m. Horse Radio Network will broadcast live from the Alltech Experience Pavilion.

7 p.m. The Cookin’ in the Bluegrass: Celebrity Chef Dinner Series will be held at the Farmhouse. Day nine’s chefs include Kentucky chef James Gerhardt and James Beard chefs Todd Gray and Suzanne Tracht.
