Aiken, SC – Trainers, do you have a Most Valuable Rider? Custom Saddlery is returning to southern Florida with a new way to recognize exceptional riders on the dressage circuit: Custom Saddlery Most Valuable Rider (MVR) awards will be presented at select shows, including the Wellington Classic Dressage and Gold Coast Dressage series beginning January 4, the Dressage Masters CDI5*, January 23-29, and the Global Dressage Festival, which begins with the Dressage National Opener on January 22-23. At each show a Custom Saddlery MVR will be chosen and presented with a Custom Saddlery saddle pad, and at the conclusion of the Global Dressage Festival circuit, one grand prize-winning MVR will get a new saddle from Custom. The winning MVR will be selected during the Wellington Nations Cup CDIO 3*, the final show during the 2013 Global Dressage Festival.
Selection as a Custom Saddlery MVR puts a rider in elite company. Custom Saddlery hosts a slew of MVRs, including U.S. Olympic Dressage veterans Steffen Peters, Heather Blitz, Sue Blinks, and Shannon Dueck.
“Custom Saddlery will recognize a MVR to highlight an exceptional performance or quality,” said president and Master Saddlefitter, Cary Wallace. “Custom’s riders have recently been in the limelight, including at the 2012 Olympics in London, as dressage riders Steffen Peters, Tina Konyot, and Heather Blitz all ride in Custom Saddles. It was extremely exciting to see ‘our’ riders on the world stage.”
Custom Saddlery hopes its MVR awards will encourage riders, whether they are dreaming of international competition or trying to reach small goals, to believe anything is possible. “Custom is dedicated to bringing innovation and superior fit to each dressage rider, and our saddles are each custom fit to both horse and rider,” said Wallace. “We have made great advances in our saddle production methods and can produce saddles much more quickly and to precise specifications. We are constantly changing and updating thanks to feedback from our riders and customers to better serve the market. By listening to riders and trainers, we can continue to provide new models, styles, and designs that are on the cutting edge.”
