Conyers GA — Dressage’s favorite saddle maker Custom Saddlery has a knack for finding the perfect fit. The company is known for crafting saddles that are specifically made to fit the individual horses and riders who use them. Custom Saddlery’s President Cary Wallace says he has now found another “perfect fit” - the pairing of his company with the Dressage4Kids 2014 Atlanta Youth Dressage Festival, which is hosted by the Georgia Dressage and Combined Training Association (GDCTA). As two organizations that strongly believe in the importance of educating future generations in good horsemanship, Dressage4Kids and Custom Saddlery are eager to make the 2014 Atlanta Youth Dressage Festival an exceptional event.

The Atlanta Youth Dressage Festival is one of the many ways that Dressage4Kids provides youth with horsemanship education and horse showing opportunities. The non-profit organization is managed by its founder Lendon Gray, whose dressage expertise has taken her to the Olympics and now to giving back to her equestrian community. The Atlanta Youth Dressage Festival, hosted by the Georgia Dressage and Combined Training Association (GDCTA), will take place on October 24-25, 2014 at the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers, Georgia. The Festival is unlike typical dressage shows, featuring three phases for competitors - a written test, a group equitation class, and an individual dressage test.

Custom Saddlery is pitching in at the Atlanta Youth Dressage Festival for the second year in a row by awarding the winners of the competition’s divisions with Custom’s high-quality saddle pads and halters. Wallace stated, “At Custom Saddlery, we value the enormous benefits young people gain through a relationship with a horse. We are proud to support the educational intent of the Festival and its division and overall champions.”

Custom Saddlery will be arriving at the Georgia International Horse Park with seven prize saddle pads and three prize halters, along with a sampling of other goods that will be available for purchase at the Festival. The prizes will go to the competitors who earn the highest scores in the following categories: Twelve and Under High Point, High Score Written Test, High Score Dressage Test, High Score Equitation, High Point Intro, High Point Training, High Point First, High Point Second and Above, and Grand Champion Overall High Point.  One of Custom’s MVRs, or Most Valuable Riders, dressage rider and trainer Jodie Kelly will be the featured speaker at the Saturday Evening Dinner Kick Off, and the event will also host rising young star NAJYRC champion David Ziegler, Leah Marks, Miriam Offermanns, and Amanda Starr of Body Works as they present educational lectures for the EDAP riders on Friday and Saturday.

Custom Saddlery is eager to award dressage’s youth for their hard work and equestrian talents. Based in Aiken, South Carolina, Custom Saddlery offers specialized saddles for both dressage and jumping. Custom Saddlery provides numerous ways to customize saddles specifically for each individual horse and rider’s needs and preferences. To complete the ideal saddle, the company also offers saddle fitting services and accessories.
