On October 13, Courtney Vince, 33, won the €7,500 Six Bar competition at CSI3* Saint-Lo in Normandy, France. Vince and Valetto JX, a 10-year-old grey Scottish Sport Horse gelding owned by Ashford Farm, topped a starting field of 27 after successfully clearing 2.10m in the high jump competition.
Vince also finished tied for second aboard Balloon JX, Mr. G. Billington's nine-year-old Scottish Sport Horse gelding. Saint-Lo marked the second puissance win this season for Vince and Valetto JX, who won the €25,000 Euphony Six Bar competition at CSI4* Antwerpen in April, having successfully cleared a height of 2.05m.
"My horses have been incredible all year and especially great this fall," said Vince, who made her Canadian Show Jumping Team debut at CSIO5* Barcelona, Spain, in September where Canada finished fourth in the FEI Promotional League Nations' Cup Final. "Valetto JX continues to amaze me; he has a heart like no other horse. It was actually my first show with Balloon J, but I absolutely adore him and am having so much fun with him."
Vince continued, "We only use Cavalor supplements and products for our horses. I think they offer the best quality you can find. It's very generous and very much appreciated that they support riders through programs such as the Athlete of the Month." As the CAVALOR 'Athlete of the Month' for October, Vince receives a gift certificate from title sponsor CAVALOR Inc.
