Courtney King Dye Helmet Awareness Award to Be Presented at the IHS Palm Beach Dressage Derby

Hampton Green Farm, DressageDaily, Renee Isler and Courtney King-Dye have linked together to award the highest scoring CDI riders wearing a helmet at the Palm Beach Derby. There will be two Ckd Helmet Awareness awards: one to the highest scoring rider wearing a helmet in the CDI Young Riders division for $1000, and one for all of the other CDI classes combined, excluding Young Horse classes, for $1500. No freestyle  score will count. GPA is also supplying a helmet of choice to each winner saying, "GPA is very proud to be supporting this award. We strongly believe one should always wear a certified helmet when mounted."
King-Dye, who sustained a traumatic brain injury exactly 2 years ago March 3 while riding without a helmet said, "I have learned that horses are unpredictable. Even the safest, steadiest horse can just trip and fall. Our CDI riders are role models, and we want to encourage them to showcase what is safe."
