Yesterday the Dutch team won the Young Riders team classification at the European Championships in Compiègne, France. The dutch team, with Tineke Bartels as chef d'equipe, took the victory of the class with a final score of 72.465 %. The team consisted of Stephanie Kooyman on Winston (75.158%), Anne Meulendijks and President's MDH Avanti (71.421%), Debora Pijpers with Besterly's Now I'm Here (70.816%), and Rosalie Mol on Legend (68.316%). The second place went to Germany (Juliette Piotrowski and Sir Diamond (73.079%), Charlott-Maria Schurmann on Edward 28 (71.105%), Florine Kienbaum with Don Windsor Old (69.500%), and Vivien Niemann with Wirsol's Cipollini(67.684%) with a final percentage of 71.228%. Belgium took third place with a score of 69.711%. This was their first medal in history. Jordine Verwimp and Tiano, Alexa Fairchild on Timor, Eline de Coninck with Don Warohn EDC, and Kristen Adriaenssens on Roycroft were the team members representing Belgium in the Young Riders class.
Germany posted a total score of 72.414% to take the Junior championship. Now the Dutch were the runners up with 70.712% and team Denmark took the bronze medal with 68.865%. The German team consisted of Johanne Pauline von Danwit/Habitus 74.081%, Claire-Louise Averkorn/Condio 72.703%, Anna-Christina Abbelen/Fuerst on Tour 70.459% and Jessica Krieg/Florence 70.027%.
