Blainville, Quebec - The Classique Internationale De Blainville (Jumping Blainville) is quickly approaching the kick-off date of July 6, 2011, for its two weeks of exciting hunter/jumper action. The city of Blainville is utilizing its team of full-time employees to make the Equestrian Park of Blainville a welcome home for more than 500 riders over the two weeks of competition. The first week of Jumping Blainville will get underway July 6-10, 2011, and the second week will continue July 13-17, 2011.
Over the next few weeks, buildings and fences will be repainted, rings will be dragged and levelled, and a sign will be installed welcoming riders, owners and their families to Blainville. The mayor, Mr. François Cantin, has pledged to make his park one of the best facilities in the country for riders and their horses so that they will come back every year to participate in the horse show or enjoy a peaceful week riding through the woods. Riders can also drive a short 20 minutes to downtown Montreal to experience its excellent dining and shopping. The Equestrian Park of Blainville is one of the best in the country because of its permanent and semi permanent stalls, wash racks for horses, bathrooms and showers, short distances to barns and rings, and full service restaurant and camper parking.
To prepare for this year's event, the Equestrian Park of Blainville has sought advice from professionals like, Linda Allen FEI O and Robert Jolicoeur. FEI O, from International Equestrian design to supervise the rings. Robert and Linda, where chosen to evaluate water jumps around the world. Eric Flameng will be on site to help out in supervising as ground manager, the show employees, so when the first load of horses sets foot on site, everybody will be ready to great them. Jumping Blainville wants everyone to feel like the guest of honour. They will offer volunteers to help the grooms and riders to unload their trunks and loads, as well as free coffee and cookies every morning, as well as cold water at every in gate. Wednesday July 6th. At 11;00 a press conference will be held at the VIP, Jockey Club where sponsors, VIP, invited guess and reporters will have the pleasure of overlooking the Grand Prix ring in action. At night, a welcome party will be held for all guests.
Jumping Blainville believes that service is the main ingredient in keeping the horse show alive. Every year before the show, the City of Blainville hosts a special dinner with more than 1000 people from shops, boutiques, stores and commercial centers to advise in extending their hospitality for the equestrian visitors. More than 20,000 people attended last year's horse show with the help of the City of Blainville and sponsors like the Quebec Government, the Caisse Populaire Desjardins Laurentide Sud and L'Envolée.
