In Oldenburg the new Grand Prix Special made its debut. The young German talent Kristina Sprehe took two wins in Oldenburg showing Desperados to his advantage. Leida Collins-Strijk did a very good job with On Top to become the runner up twice, while the Dutch team member of the bronze winning team in Rotterdam Sander Marijnissen and Moedwil were third. Chair of the judge Ghislain Fouarge did not feel completely happy with the new test, a feeling was shared by the competitors. Sander Marijnissen felt it was a pity that the time for walk was reduced. Kristina Sprehe was too happy with her wins but she didn't want to have ideas on qualifying for the German team for the Olympic Games on her mind. "The Sprehe Final is the first to come and after that I'd love to compete in the Reem Acra FEI World Cup. Let's take it one day at a time."
