Catuse and Polly Cooley Earn Grand Hunter Championship at Horse Shows by the Bay III

Traverse City, MI - Equestrian competition concluded today at Horse Shows by the Bay III. The Grand Champion of the Amateur Owner Hunter Divisions was Catuse and Polly Cooley.

"Catuse is a Hanovarian stallion and he just turned six years old. The courses all rode really well, the handy rounds were a bit challenging for him because he is young and green still, but it was fun. I've never been to Michigan but I heard wonderful things about this show and turns out everyone has been very happy here," commented Cooley.

Catuse and Cooley were champion of the 3'3 Amateur Owner Hunters. Indian Summer and Kendall Meijer were reserve champion.

Dakota and Rachel Herkowitz were champion of the 3'6 Amateur Owner Hunters. Tell All and Susan Baker were reserve champion.

In the $1,000 Horse Shows by the Bay Amateur Owner Hunter Classic, top honors went to Ruben and Lisa Goldman. They scored a 79 in their first round and an 81 in their second round giving them a total of 160 points.

"I have had Ruben for six years now. I was Grand Junior Hunter Champion with him here three years ago. I liked the courses a lot, yesterday the lines were a little short for Ruben but today he was great. This is a beautiful show so I really like coming here," said Goldman

Second place was Daily Devotion and Jessica Warren, scoring a total of 156 points. Third was Savannah and Lindsay Lyden, with a total of 154 points. Fourth was Valmont and Lexi Sigesmund, with a total of 151 points. Fifth was Magic Man and Abigail Wujek, with a total of 142 points.
