Louisville, KY - Grand Prix dressage rider Caroline Roffman is relocating her successful showing, training, and sales business to Louisville, Kentucky for the summer. Officially based out of her own Lionshare Dressage facility in Wellington, Florida, Roffman is such a vital part of her clients’ successes that, when she chose to venture to Kentucky, her clients decided that they would come along. Roffman will bring more than 20 horses with her from Lionshare Dressage. The group will be based out of a private stable in Louisville owned by one of her clients. “I am very fortunate that my client and her family are welcoming me and the circus that comes with me,” Roffman laughed. “I am bringing more than 20 horses with me, so I will have a limited amount of space for additional clients for lessons and training. Nearly all of my clients are sending their horses to continue their training.”

Roffman tentatively plans to remain in Kentucky until September. She and her clients will compete while there, and they intend to enjoy the change in scenery while beating the South Florida heat.

“I cannot wait to be able to take the horses through the woods and fields and let them just be horses,” Roffman enthused. “The upcoming young horses I am producing will certainly enjoy all that Kentucky has to offer.”

She will also continue her horse sales business throughout the summer. Currently, Roffman is offering a select group of sale horses from 3-years-old to Grand Prix level.

Roffman has moved up the ranks in dressage after a successful stint in Young Riders, in which she won five medals. She was named a “Rising Star” by the FEI in 2010, and earned the title of USEF National Intermediare 1 Champion in 2012. In 2013, Roffman and Sagacious HF, a KWPN gelding by Welt Hit II out of Judith, a Cocktail mare, were the Reserve Champions at the Aachen, Germany, CDI-O5* Under 25 Grand Prix.

In 2014, she and Her Highness O were on fire, earning the top score in the Grand Prix Special in the CDI3* in Lexington with a 70.479 percent. Roffman and the striking black Hanoverian mare by Hohenstein out of Wild Lady O, a Weltmeyer mare, traveled to Europe, where they continued their success in the international arena. During the summer of 2014, the duo earned top scores in Europe, including a fourth place finish with a 72.176 percent in the CDI4* at Fritzens-Schindlhof, Austria, in July. They were short listed for the U.S. dressage team for the 2014 World Equestrian Games.

This year, Roffman’s extraordinary dedication to her clients, students, and horses has produced impressive results for the entire Lionshare Dressage team. She is looking forward to further show ring victories and developing top horses while in Kentucky.
