Canadian Dressage Team Fundraiser Set for September 12

Toronto, Ontario — ‘Take the Podium,’ a fundraising event to support the riders heading to the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games, will be held on Sunday, September 12, at Pine Ridge Farm, located at 14290 Weston Road, in King City, ON.

The fundraising event will be a send-off for the athletes comprising the Canadian Dressage Team that will compete at the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games from September 25 to October 10 in Lexington, Kentucky.

From 12 noon to 4 p.m., supporters will enjoy an afternoon of food and refreshments while mingling with the athletes, trainers, judges, past Olympians and fans. Horsey demonstrations, music, a strolling magician, a caricature artist, a stilt-walking juggler, a balloon artist, and face painters all make this an event that the entire family will enjoy. Bid on Silent Auction items such as an amazing west coast Salmon Fishing Trip, Toronto Football Club (TFC) tickets and jersey, Leaf tickets, as well as have a chance to bid on a “Rider for the Day.”

Tickets are available for $150 each. Children up to 12 are free.
