October 21, 2014 – Bidding opens at noon, Tuesday, October 21 for horses selling in the inaugural American Hanoverian Society Fall Auction. The auction features six Elite Mares, a young Elite Mare Candidate, Inspection Site Champions and more. Entries include La Marca WF, who shared top filly honors at the AHS Inspection in Portland, OR and other foals by Weltmeyer, Checkmate and Sir James. Yearlings are headlined by Rhetorical, a gelding by Regazzoni who has been Reserve Best Young Horse at his first show, 6th in a very competitive Yearling colt class at The Devon Horse Show, as well as 5th in the Sallie B. Wheeler Hunter Breeding Championship. Other yearlings by Rotspon, Escudo II, and Wild Dance are being offered.
Two Elite Mares from On Q Hanoverians and an Elite Mare Candidate from Karen Morris are the highlights of the riding horses and prospects. EM Feiner Abend is a proven show hunter by Feiner Stern. EM Feiner Abend is being offered with a buyer’s option to purchase her 2014 filly by Landkönig. EM Fortunate Future is a Grand Prix jumper prospect by Fabuleux. Elite Mare Candidate Dulce M was Champion Mare and 2nd in her Mare Performance Test at the 2014 AHS/MAHB Inspection. A two year old daughter of Wild Dance it being offered by the 2013 USEF Breeder of the Year, Horses Unlimited.
Dressage prospect Worth The Wait HF is a three year old daughter of Winterprinz. She was 8th in the 2011 USDF Year End standings for Current Year Fillies and was 2011 ODS Champion Filly. Worth The Wait HF is being offered by Diane Nauman.
The outstanding group of broodmares up for bid include Elite Mares by Rotspon, Magic, Weydan and ES Sam Steele. Broodmares are available from Nancy Mulholland’s Windswept Farm and the Virginia Tech Foundation and other top breeders.
EM Wowie is by the Olympic dressage bronze medalist and team silver stallion Weyden and is offered in foal to the Hilltop stallion Contucci. A feature jumper broodmare is Balerina, a daughter of Balou du Rouet offered in foal to Quilot Z. Fmalbeau, by West Coast, was 2012 Champion Mare at Dressage at Lexington, and was tied for #1 High Score Mare in the 2010 ISR/Oldenburg North American inspection tour.
