Wellington, FL The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Equestrian of the Year Celebration is an annual fundraiser designed to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The Dressage Connection hosted a fashion show during last year’s event that not only showed off the latest in dressage clothing but also raised over $14,000 for the fundraiser. “The theme for this year’s Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is ‘From the Stable to Stepping Out!’ which is the perfect theme for The Dressage Connection. We have a great group of riders who will be our models, showing how it easy it can be to go from the stable to stepping out – whether it’s out to dinner or walking the catwalk! Dressage riders are known for being fashionable and during the fashion show we will show everyone the latest trends and the finest couture available. We will also help everyone who attends the fashion show learn how to go from the stable to stepping out in style,” said Lisa Tota.
The Dressage Connection, a premier Wellington dressage store owned by Charles and Lisa Tota, will host a fashion show complete with well-known dressage riders strutting their stuff on the runway during the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s “Equestrian of the Year” Celebration. The models will show off the latest in fashions and trends that will have equestrians dressing to the nines throughout the year. The fashion show will take place during the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Equestrian of the Year celebration, Wednesday, January 11th at the Players Club Restaurant in Wellington.
“This year’s fashion show is going to be a really fun night and a fantastic way to raise money for a great cause,” Tota said. “We have been supporting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for many years because we are great friends with Mary Ann Grant and Nancy Later. Being able to put on the fashion show has turned out to be immense fun, and a great way to show off our wonderful clothing lines, boots and products.”
The Dressage Connection is a dealer for Windsor Equestrian, a new line of bridles, halters, strap goods and saddles; Tota said they will feature Windsor Equestrian items in the silent auction during the evening. “I am excited to be able to debut the new Windsor line. I am also excited to have our wonderful models dressed in Konig boots, Grand Prix Shadbellys and Italian breeches and shirts,” Tota said, adding that some of the models strutting the runway will be Amy Swerdlin, Katherine Bateson Chandler, Lisa Tota, Tina Konyot, Tine Zinglersen, Caroline Roffman, and other dressage stars.
