Manerbio, Italy- The first champions were crowned today in Manerbio, Italy, following the NRHA European Non Pro Pre Futurity.
Held during the NRHA (National Reining Horse Association) European Derby, the Non Pro Pre Futurity, open to 3-year-old horses, saw Anna Lisec and Gotalotta Cash, owned by Sabine Lisec, take top honors in both the Level 4 and Level 2 divisions. Aboard the pretty mare by Big Chex To Cash and out of Gotta Lotta Grace (by Topsail Whiz), the young Austrian rider posted a 210. “I truly and honestly did not expect to win so this is twice as special,” said Anna. “Especially sweet is the fact that we’ve had her ever since she was 2. My step-father, Chuck Klipfel, rode her and the reins passed on to me in June this year. I’ve been riding and training her since, so I’m pretty proud of her!”
The reserve championship in the Level 4, a half a point behind the winners, went to Italy’s Manuel Bonzano and Dealin The Cash – yet another mare by Big Chex To Cash, but out of Raise The Dealer (by Dealin Dirty), owned by 23 QH Azienda Agricola S.S and bred by Manuel Bonzano. “This is the very first show for my mare and I’m really happy with the way she went and with the result,” said the past NRHA Non Pro World Champion.
In the Level 2 division taking the co-reserve championship was Fabio Colantoni with BF Feona In Whiz (RS Great Jac Feona x Pretty Bubbles Whiz x Topsail Whiz) and Davina Perini riding her Dualina Hope (Dualin For Me x Hope And Surprise x ARC Sparkle Surprise). Both scored a 208.
