Reese Koffler-Stanfield FEI Dressage Rider, USDF Certified Instructor/Trainer through Fourth Level
Reese’s plate is full with nearly 60 students, everything from straight dressage clients to upper level eventers including the first lady of Kentucky. “I have a couple students who might even make it to Rolex the next couple years,” she proudly states. She currently handles multiple haul-ins and travels to a select few students’ barns. She teaches rain or shine all year round as long as it is safe for the horses.
Her clinic schedule remains full with regular gigs in Cincinnati and Louisville at least a couple times each month. Another asset according to Reese is her schoolmaster, 17-year-old Samanta. “She is fabulous, and we love her,” Reese says. “That’s been a great service I can offer to students in the area who can come and ride an FEI horse.” Sammy loves her job. I have ladies that only have time to ride once a week, mothers and college students etc. and some regular students who need experience on an upper-level horse, and she fits the bill.”
Reese will also look for horses for students and occasionally sells horses for students. “I like to think of myself as full service,” Reese says. “I’ll do whatever is needed for a client.”
Student and friend Cindy Zeller has been working with Reese since her mare Cordelia was five. “Reese is intuitive in her instruction,” says Cindy. “She always seems to instinctively know what both the horse and rider need to be working on at any given moment. I know this comes from her extensive background which for her youth is impressive. I ride a very unpredictable horse and Reese’s instruction has always been right on. On top of that she is kind, optimistic and reassuring.”
