[Lexington, KY] – In a firm affirmation of its ongoing commitment to equestrian sport, Alltech has signed on as the title sponsor of the 128th National Horse Show to be held at the Alltech Arena in Lexington, Ky, USA, from November 2-6, 2011. The National Horse Show Association of America, Limited (NHSAA) announced their plans in February to move the 128th edition of the National Horse Show to the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky. The show will feature a complete schedule of ‘AA’-rated hunter divisions, a big money Open Jumper division with a major Grand Prix, and as always, the signature event of the National Horse Show, the ASPCA Alfred B. Maclay Finals.
A 31-year global leader in animal health and nutrition, Alltech is known in the equestrian sport community for becoming the first title sponsor in World Equestrian Games history with the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games.
“The Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games were transformative for Alltech and the community of Lexington,” said Dr. Pearse Lyons, president and founder of Alltech. “Opportunity once again literally landed in our backyard with the National Horse Show, and Alltech is honored to not only be associated with the highly acclaimed equestrian competition but also eager to ensure its success in Lexington, the famed Horse Capital of the World.”
For nearly 30 years, Alltech has provided scientifically-proven, reliable, and fully traceable natural nutritional supplements to the equine industry. Chief among these products is LIFEFORCE Formula™, a daily natural nutritional supplement designed for all horses at every stage of life, whether they are breeding, pleasure, or performance animals. Daily supplementation helps create an ideal digestive environment to promote overall nutrient absorption, support immune function, and optimize overall performance.
“We’re thrilled that Alltech has joined forces with the National Horse Show for its debut in Kentucky,” said Mason Phelps, Jr, president of the National Horse Show. “This great American horse show has a long standing reputation for excellence, so partnering with Alltech, a company known worldwide for excellence in everything they do, makes this a perfect match.”
The show will be managed by Leo Conroy and Hugh Kincannon of Kentucky Horse Shows, LLC.
“It is certainly our desire to make the National Horse Show in Kentucky as similar to Madison Square Garden as possible,” Phelps continued.
Founded in 1883 at the original Madison Square Garden, the National Horse Show is America’s oldest indoor horse show, firmly established as a major fixture on the national and international sports and social event calendars. The National Horse Show Association’s primary activity is the annual production of the National Horse Show and all ancillary events. Over the years, the National Horse Show has provided financial aid to many worthwhile charities.
