Dr. Duren, owner of Performance Horse Nutrition, LLC, is recognized as a preeminent expert on equine health and nutrition by feed manufacturers and horses owners throughout the world. He was instrumental in the formulation of Green Feed, the first environmentally friendly equine feed in North America. Green Feed was introduced last year to the West Coast market in the U.S. after being developed in partnership by Alltech and California-based feed manufacturer O.H. Kruse.

Dr. Duren earned a bachelor of science in animal sciences at the University of Idaho as well as his M.S. and Ph.D. in equine nutrition and exercise physiology from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Duren owns and operates Performance Horse Nutrition, an international equine nutrition consulting company. Performance Horse Nutrition recently hired a second equine nutritionist – Dr. Tania Cubitt. Together, Dr. Duren and Dr. Cubitt consult with horse owners, breeding farms, feed manufacturers and veterinarians to provide the most up-to-date equine nutrition expertise.
