Adesco Dressage has Highly Successful Cincinnati Show

August 6, 2009 Cleveland, Ohio: Adesco C, a seven-year-old Holsteiner Stallion owned by Grand Prix Rider/Trainer Elena Golubitsky (known as Elena Sokolovskaia) of Cleveland, Ohio, was awarded the Grand Champion title at the Cincinnati Dressage Tradition Summer CDT Performance and Breed Show held at Roberts Arena July 30 through August 2, 2009. But that was not the only success Adesco Dressage enjoyed at the popular Ohio dressage series.

Stallion Adesco C Named Grand Champion - Adesco C has competed in breed shows throughout the eastern region of the U.S. in the past three years with four Grand Championships plus four Reserve Grand Championships to his credit. He has consistently received marks in the high 70’s to low 80’s percentage range. His bloodline is out of Ariatis who is a stallion highly recognized for jumping championships throughout Europe. Elena acquired Adesco C as a three-year-old in 2005. Elena broke Adesco C to ride and trained him herself to his current performance level of PSG/I-1. Elena took a break from performance shows earlier this year as she gave birth to her second son, Max, on June 9th, but she is now back in the saddle and has resumed Adesco C’s dressage training.

Barbara Grove was awarded scores needed for her USDF Bronze Medal and began progress on her Silver Medal on her new 11-year-old gelding Trakehner, Tokaimo 000, who was acquired last year with Elena’s help. “I am really pleased. Elena has worked with me for two years now and under her guidance I have accomplished this personal goal in a relatively short time” said Barbara.

Ruth Thompson, a 16 year-old Junior Rider, riding Barbara Grove’s horse Verdict, won Blue Ribbons in each of her Training level classes with qualifying scores for Regional Championships.

Michelle Brogan, riding her five- year-old mare Ratina, also won Blue Ribbons and qualified for Regional Championships at Training level.

Bernie Moauro, riding her new horse Wyeth, also won Blue Ribbons with Qualifying Scores for Regional Championships.
