Catherine Malone may be modest about confessing to a horse lover's dream childhood, growing up on her family's legendary Iron Springs Farm in Coatesville, PA, but the 29-year-old dressage rider and winner of the 2kGrey Best Seat Award for week 10 of the Adequan Global Dressage Festival isn't shy about saying she loves the “fashionably forward” look of 2kGrey riding jeans and would happily welcome another pair into her wardrobe. The Adult Amateur division rider was in Wellington to compete two Iron Springs horses, the 17 hand black Danish-bred stallion Uno Don Diego (Dressage Royal x Uno Fredericia), and a bay 16.3 hand KWPN mare, Watch Me (Sir Sinclair x Swensie).
“Would I like to win everything? Of course,” she joked but Malone, who began riding at age eight, shared a voice of 20 years riding and training experience by pragmatically adding, “I'll just be happy with the horses – and myself - continuing to go well.”
“And we'll be happy with presenting you with your third set of 2kGrey riding jeans, along with your Best Seat Award,” said 2kGrey co-founder, Meryl Ranzer, after learning Malone was already a fan of the equestrian designer label and owned two pairs of 2kGrey jeans, while presenting the award and gift certificate for a new pair of 2kGrey white full seat breeches.
“Thank you, 2kGrey, for another wonderful pair of breeches!” said Malone. Wellington's best-dressed dressage and show jumping riders already know 2kGrey delivers cross-over flair from show time to night time with a flattering fit and fashion-forward detailing.
