Lexington, KY - The Split Rock Jumping Tour is excited to announce that the rider who accumulates the most points in the CSI 3* classes will win the Leading Athlete Award, a brand new 2015 Chevrolet Equinox valued at over $31,000.00! The new international show jumping show series will debut this spring at Split Rock Farm in Lexington, KY, with the Lexington International CSI 3* on May 22-24. The additional prize of a brand new car is part of the "Unparalleled Show Jumping Experience" that the Split Rock Jumping Tour is creating!
In an effort to support and work with local businesses, the Split Rock Jumping Tour has partnered with Dan Cummins Chevrolet of Paris, KY. The Split Rock Jumping Tour will be the first American horse show to give away a car as a prize - with no strings attached.
Derek Braun, Founder and President of the Split Rock Jumping Tour, is thrilled to announce this unique partnership with Chevrolet.
"Having this vehicle, in addition to the prize money we are awarding, will certainly intensify the competition at our events," he said. "I am grateful to Dan Cummins Chevrolet for their collaboration in making a new car available to our over all leading athlete."
The Leading Athlete Award is open to CSI 3* competitors. Riders will receive points for their best finish in each class. The Leading Athlete will be presented with their 2015 Chevrolet Equinox immediately following the $100,000 CSI 3* Grand Prix on Sunday, May 24.
"We are delighted to be working with the Split Rock Jumping Tour," said Chevrolet dealer Dan Cummins. "It is exciting that this is the only prize of its kind awarded at a U.S. horse show, and we are thrilled to be part of such a high caliber event!"
