Announcer Brian O'Connor Shares Impressions with DressageDaily
World Cup Finals' show announcer Brian O'Connor can finally sit back and relax. After four days of controling a hysteric equestrian mob and announcing the world's best show jumpers and dressage riders in the Thomas & Mack Center, he can now take a breather. O'Connor e-mailed the DressageDaily's 'command central' for World Cup Finals coverage in Florida with his impressions from Las Vegas:
"Well, it was history in the making! To be part of this historic event was a true pleasure. Watching the top of the world vie for the Cup was wonderful.

I did feel, as have a lot of others, that Edward should have won the title. His freestyle had the difficulty, but more than that, the elegance, beauty and choreography to win. I think that if he had been in the final slot, he would have won. His stallion performed flawlessly and was a true joy to watch. Anky's test was wonderful too, but, in this announcer's eyes and ears, not as awe inspiring as Lingh's.
The Vegas touch to the events was a lot of fun, and when we got the house rocking (we, the dressage folks), there was no stopping the Express!! It truly was the best dressage crowd, competition, and final I have ever been afiliated with, and I hope the next one brings more of the dressage crowd, the best audience in the world."
