April 12-13 at the Kentucky Horse Park, dressage enthusiasts had the opportunity to take part in a Symposium with word-renowned trainer and rider Kyra Kyrklund of Finnland. Now based in England, it was Kyrklund’s first trip to Kentucky. She followed in the footsteps of last year’s clinician, Conrad Schumacher, who has also conducted a series of clinics for Young Riders around the United States.

According to Kentucky Horse Park Special Events Coordinator Nicole Rivera, there were around 450 auditors in attendance from 35 US states, including the West Coast, three Canadian provinces including the Yukon, and one from Chile. 21 vendors and 15 sponsors had booths in the trade fair.

“This symposium brings a lot of national acclaim to the Horse Park,” noted Coordinator Cathy Ayersman.
