1999 NAYRC Region 3 Team Hopeful, Malinda Brown

Malinda Brown from Sarasota, Florida will be eighteen years old in May. She has been riding her mount, Via Mala, since the summer of 1996. Her mother, Linda Jaskiel Brown, owns the German bred 16-year-old Hannoverian mare. Ms. Brown has owned Via Mala for ten years and has trained the mare to her current level.

Malinda and Via Mala were ABIG/USDF Region Three JR/YR Champions at Prix St. George and Intermediate I in 1998 They also participated in the very first Junior Championships in 1997 at the Washington International horse show. She was part of Team America which won the Team Silver medal.

Young Rider Teams are required to raise their own funds to reach their goal. Donations for a region's NAYRC team expenses can be tax deductible.
