Wellington, FL - Ana Daniela Campos-Siberio earned twice that ‘winning feeling’ at the 2017 AGDF in Wellington, Florida. She was not only victorious in her Adult Amateur Dressage First Level test, but also accepted the Omega Alpha Healthy Horse Award for the spectacular condition of her Lusitano partner, Horquidea MVL.

“She loves to show off and be seen,” Campos-Siberio said of the 16.3-hand mare (Quixote x Lequita), bred in Portugal by Coudelaria Monte Velho and owned by her mother, Ana Bertha Campos-Siberio. Campos-Siberio and Horquidea MVL had only been in training together for three months before catching the eye of Omega Alpha Healthy Horse Award presenters.

The Omega Alpha Healthy Horse Award is presented throughout the Adequan Global Dressage Festival show series to horses that show their obvious good health through their appearance and disposition. Omega Alpha, maker of award-winning all-natural equine supplements, rewards the winners with an embroidered fly scrim, hat, and lots of Omega Alpha supplements.

Campos-Siberio makes sure to give her mare a good diet and lots of exercise to maintain her excellent health. And like Omega Alpha, Campos-Siberio believes that good health is the secret to a good disposition. “A healthy horse is a happy horse,” she explained. She was excited to accept a prize full of Omega Alpha health supplements – including Healthy Horse, Biotic 8, RegenerEQ, Chill Ultra, and Gastra FX – to keep her horse in her prime. In her good health, Horquidea is able to excel in the arena. “Horquidea learned a lot in a short time. We hope to show through Second Level and then make the Five-Year-Olds,” Campos-Siberio said.

Omega Alpha will continue to celebrate healthy horses throughout the season at both the Adequan Global Dressage Festival and the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida. The company is also presenting the Omega Alpha Best Barn Manager Contest at both venues to honor the people in charge of horses’ good care. To nominate barn managers at the 2017 Winter Equestrian Festival or Adequan Global Dressage Festival, look for ballot boxes in their show offices, at The Tackeria in Wellington, or online at www.omegaalphacontest.com.
